Post - Application.

Are you done with all applications? Check again to make sure you did BOTH the UCEAP and NTU application. You know, better safe than sorry right? Make sure you check BOTH pre-departure checklists cuhs you're gonna have to follow the instructions on there. You shoud have gotten those instructions from the UCEAP acceptance email they sent you. There are also UCEAP advisors that are gonna send you emails when things are due as a reminder.

Heath Clearance Form - make sure you do them at least 2 - 3 weeks before it's due. It takes them a week to process the forms, and they don't work on holidays. Also, you gotta mail the forms to them in person. Yes, mail, as in the physical copies and letters and stamps. It's NOT required for us to schedule an appointment with the TANG center for travel consultation. I scheduled the appointment because I didn't know better, and I wasted $95 (or is it $65? can't remember because I don't like remembering my stupid mistakes). My heart hurts from that still. The health clearance form and that limited authorization form that actually due to the UCEAP costs about $35. The physical exam can be done in Taiwan.

Also, I got an email sometime in October from the NTU OIA office that the admission package will come in late December. I can't wait that long, but I have to, even though I want to buy my ticket NOW. I don't like the idea of waiting to buy tickets since I know the airfare is most likely going to keep rising. Late December...sigh..

UPDATE: I actually emailed the study abroad advisor in NTU (their contacts are provided in the emails they've sent), and I was able to know about my admission status earlier than the official announcement.
